Description:  
Apricots are part of the drupe family. Their scientific name is Prunus armeniaca. Apricot trees need a warm and dry climate and are known for their resilience to draught and heat. Apricot trees do not need other plants for fertilization.

Uses:
Dried apricots are a great ingredient for savory dishes and add a sweet flavor to many recipes. Apricots can also be used for baking and salads.
